Vets2Pets Charity Day

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to Vets4Pets, a local company, who did a charity day at our school on Wednesday 31stAugust. Many of you will remember them doing a day last year when they replaced some of the decking in the nature area and painting all the picnic tables. This year when they were discussing which charity to support through their charity day, they agreed that they had enjoyed the day here so much that they wanted to return, which we were incredibly happy about!

They spent the day replacing the pond dipping platform in the nature area and painting the school fence. The new pond dipping area looks great and we can’t wait to use it with the children. The painting turned out to be a slightly bigger job that we anticipated and they only managed to complete part of it. However as I’m sure you’ll agree the part they have completed looks so much better and we are now keen to get the job finished! We have the paint and paint brushes in school and we are hoping to involve our Year 6 children (so long as parents and carers are happy with this) in finishing this work. However it is a big job, so if anyone has a bit of spare time during the day (maybe after drop off of before pick up) and would be prepared to paint a panel or two, please talk to the school office to arrange a time.
