At St Martin’s CE (Aided) Primary School we value all children, regardless of their abilities, disabilities, social, emotional or behavioural needs. We recognise and believe that all children are entitled to access a broad and balanced curriculum which is differentiated to meet their individual needs.
Our SEND policy explains how we work within the Code of Practice, set by the government, to identify and then support children with SEND, to enable them to access the curriculum and make academic progress as well as developing our school values and life skills.
Every Local Authority is required to publish information about services that are available in their area for young people from birth to 25 who have Special Educational Needs and/or disabilities (SEND) and also services outside the area which children and young people can use. This is known as the Local Offer.
All schools must complete a SEND Information Report that will contribute to the local offer. At St Martin’s CE (Aided) Primary School, this report has been designed to give a clear profile on how we work with children.
