Residential Update: Wed AM

Residential update: Wed AM

Good morning all. Another good night has passed with very few children needing support to sleep well.

The food continues to be excellent; lunch yesterday was a choice of burger/veggie burger and chips or veggie shepherds pie, plus the usual extra bits. Tea was a choice of hunters chicken (without the sauce if wanted) or fish fingers with potatoes and veg. All children are finding there is plenty of choice and we are pleasantly surprised by how many are adding a bowl of salad to their meal, even if it is just overflowing grated carrot...

Today's activities will include climbing, archery, sensory trail and zip wire. The children were thrilled that Mrs Bartlett joined us last night (as was Mrs Bartlett) whilst also sad to see Miss Lopez and Mrs Hop go home (hope you slept well ladies… you survived). We are all also pleased also that Ms Mendivil joins us this morning for the next two days.

The arrival of rain this morning will do nothing to dampen our spirits as the children will barely notice it and us adults here all love being wet and cold for extended periods of time, honest. Hooray.

Today there will be a room inspection as my word, you should see the state of some of the rooms. We would like to congratulate some of you on purchasing baggage wisely for this trip; it’s clear from the sheer volume of items on the floors that a Mary Poppins never-ending bag was a good investment. We are sure the items will go back in as easily as they have been taken out, when packing tonight/tomorrow morning. Tonight's activities will also include another exciting event , named 'How To Fold Clothing so that it fits'. Thank you in advance to all who trained your child early for this. To those of you who didn’t… oh dear.

P.S. cakes all going down very well - the photo attached is of one we have saved until tomorrow for the last day as it's extra special!
