- Children enjoy their Music lessons, which is evident in subject manager pupil conferencing.
- Music supports the school vision. It enables children to think and act creatively, and supports their personal development, and supports children to use their creativity to have a positive impact on the wider world. The areas of rehearsing and performing offer children the opportunity to grow in self-confidence and experience the joy of performing, therefore building on their lifelong learning skills.
- Music supports the school focus on inclusion and diversity. Children, even those who find academic work more challenging, are able to access music at its core level. Music grows children's confidence, particularly evident in any school performance e.g. choir, upper school performance, nativity. In addition, the range of music explored through listening and responding, and composers and influential musicians considered, offers a wide and diverse view of the world of music.
- Music has a very positive impact on both children's physical and mental wellbeing.
- Children attain well across the school in Music (outcomes at the end of 2023 - 2024):
