Admissions

If you are interested in your child joining St Martin’s CE (Aided) Primary School, we would strongly encourage you to visit the school to appreciate all that we have to offer. We hold an open morning and evening every Autumn term for prospective parents and carers (details are sent to all local preschools and advertised on our website) and we are more than happy to show you round at any other time. Please contact the School Office to arrange a convenient time.

Please see our Admissions Policy for the relevant academic year for further information. As a Church of England Aided Primary School, the Governors are responsible for our Admissions Policy. This is reviewed annually in line with guidance from the Diocese of Winchester and Hampshire Local Authority.

We can admit up to 15 children in each year group and each new academic year, Year R spaces are allocated based on the criteria detailed in the Admissions Policy.  Occasionally we have spaces within year groups and any parent/carer wishing to transfer their child to the school is advised to contact the School Office to enquire about possible vacancies. When there are no vacancies, the school will operate a waiting list and advise parents/carers when spaces become available.

Parents and carers can also contact Hampshire County Council for a copy of the general admissions information, including the application form.
