As a Primary school we have children in seven separate year groups (from Reception through to Year 6) which we currently organise into four different classes.
Each of our classes is named after one of the trees growing in our school grounds. The names give a sense of identity to each class and this gives the children a strong feeling of pride and belonging.
The current school structure is:
Cherry Class Reception and Year 1
Sycamore Class Year 2
Maple Class Years 3 and 4
Willow Class Years 5 and 6
Next year, September 2026, we will be moving to this structure:
Cherry Class Reception
Sycamore Class Year 1 and Year 2
Maple Class Year 3 and Year 4
Willow Class Year 5 and Year 6
