I just wanted to share what a lovely afternoon I had on Monday. The house captains led a session to introduce our approach to spirituality, to Year 1. During the afternoon, the Year 1 children learned about the different spiritual moments:
Mirror - moments when we learn more about ourselves,
Door - moments when we learn more about others,
Window - moments when we learn more about the world
Candle - moments when we learn more about things beyond this world.
They also collected their own spirituality kit, which they should have bought home with them.
It was lovely watching our older children work with our younger children - it always impresses me just how well they work together.
My favourite comment was from one of the house captains who when it was all over said, 'well that was fun but what a lot of hard work it is working with children!'
Yep - they aren't wrong - but luckily we all love it!
