And we're packed! It's not been easy, I lost count of the number of times certain cases got opened, shut, opened again as children thought I was going to let them go out in just a t-shirt! However rooms have been checked, bedding put away, all lost property claimed (including pants), muddy boots put back in plastic bags and everything is in the lounge ready to go on the coach this afternoon. I make no promises that everything is in the right case/bag but if you find anything when you unpack that does not belong to you, please return it to school and we'll try to locate the rightful owner!
The children slept well when they eventually went to sleep (about 11:00pm). I have to confess to hearing children messing around at midnight, getting out of bed to go and grump at our lot, getting into the corridor to realise it had gone quite and then processing the fact that the messing around was the Duke of Edinburgh group who were camping in the field using the toilet block - fortunately they didn't wake any of our children! Our children also slept right through till about 6:45am, so hopefully will manage to survive the activities this morning, before a final lunch and getting onto the coach to come home - they are all very excited to be seeing you again this afternoon!
It is a really beautiful morning this morning, with the sun fully out. The perfect way to finish our stay in the New Forest!
I'll try and post on here when we leave so you have some idea of when to expect us home - we're aiming for school at about 3:00pm ish.
