Orchestra rehearsal

WOOHOO ITS SO EXCITING!

I’ve just been in my first orchestra rehearsal for BPSM, with two children from St Martin’s. If I’m being honest, we were all three of us pretty nervous - first time for us all. I reckon there were about 120/130 children at the rehearsal, making a full orchestra, all playing together. Both children who went with me were playing percussion, and the percussion department was… well, I think I’d politely say hectic, frantic but excitable! However, both children were ace, gave everything a go and made me so proud of them. Watching them play snare drums and bass drums (and other drums I don’t even know the name of), as well as maracas and cymbals and tambourines…. Super proud deputy head here. Roll on the performances in June at the Anvil!
