Residential Update - 22.10.24 Tuesday morning

Residential update: Tuesday morning

Well, we survived the night. Based on the amount of sleep that Ms Mendivil and I have had, I cannot guarantee everyone will survive the day, but we'll try!

It turns out, some children think that 5.26am in the morning, is the morning. I am here to tell you that on resi, it's not. Not when alarm call is planned for 7am - and not when based on the going to sleep time. However, everyone slept and are in good spirits today! We have had a conversation about what to do if you can't sleep and the children shred strategies that work for them so hopefully, tonight will be filled with more sleep. Ah, blessed sleep. I remember that fondly...

A hearty breakfast was enjoyed by all, a combination of sausage, bacon, hash brown, beans, mushrooms and toast - they chose the bits they liked, and only one child had the full english! There was cereal and fruit juice as well, so everyone has eaten well.

Activities started at 9.30am, so I've just seen all groups back here after some successful shelter building, climbing the tower and low ropes course. We've had a quick snack to fuel them up and they are now off out for their second activity, before lunch at 12.30pm.

We have a birthday girl and boy today so will be celebrating with.... yes, more cake! Is there such a thing as too much cake on resi? No, there is not. There definitely is not.
